Scottpat
I'm trying to ID the backer board that has been used as an underlayment for an exterior tile installation on a covered deck. The little round balls are Styrofoam (foam) balls embedded into the cementitious backer board. Anyone have any ideas? Hearthman
WonderBoard has Styrofoam balls, which is why it cannot pass ASTM E-136 for non-combustible material
robert1966
It does not really look like the wonderboard I am use to along the cut edges, although it does have an open meshed edge. However wonderboard can be used on decks according to the man. guidelines. Easyboard is really designed for interior use, either way both products should be sealed along any cut or exposed seams... I may be wrong, just my 2 cents.
