Shouldn't there be trim overlapping the angled edge to prevent moisture entry. As you see, the shingles butt up against the trim. And of course the shingles have lots of face nailing. Brandon Whitmore Posted February 26, 2010 Report Posted February 26, 2010 Based on the picture alone, I don't think water will ever reach up there when it rains. That said, I wouldn't worry about it. If there was only a slight chance water would hit up there once in a great while, I'd recommend caulk.
