esch
I do not have access to a 2008 NEC book, so I just ordered one. I cant find the answer to my question on google so I'd try the experts. EMT outside. A have an entire commercial complex of rentals that is ran with this metal conduit, I was told it passed inspection but I never knew it was code, theres no way its water tight. I think thier lying to me. Thanks if you could tell me off the top of your head. Matt I found something saying it would be alright with approve conductors. Jim Port
I think you are describing EMT or electrical metallic tubing. This is covered in Article 358 of the NEC. Set screw connectors and couplings cannot be used in wet areas. They are for dry locations only. Compression fittings are made for use in wet areas.
