Robert Jones
I am not sure if I have placed this in the right forum but... I am curious as to what these 3 white pipes might be for. The duplex is on a septic system which is located opposite of these pipes. The caps did not come off. Any ideas? Bill Kibbel
I've seen many that are inspection pipes. Maybe one's over the inlet baffle, one's over the cross-over baffle and one's over the outlet baffle.
robert1966
I have seen these also and they were for inspection or system monitoring, but the caps could be removed.
Tom Raymond
Until I dug mine up and shortened them, I removed the caps nearly every time I mowed the lawn.
Lambert
Hi I have a similar system in my house and these white pipes are used for draining out water .The white caps can be unplugged and we can inspect wheather the flowing is going smoothly. hausdok
Hi Robert, I think Bill probably has it. They probably will come off...with a lot of difficulty. I've run across them a few times and the caps felt like they were a press fit. Once I got them to move about a quarter of an inch they slid right off. My nose told me the rest. Where are they in relation to the house? Uphill, downhill, on the same plane? If they were uphill, which would be weird for a septic system without a pump setup, they might be cleanouts for a curtain drain system. Had one of those the other day. Wish I'd taken pictures of it.
