Les Posted October 25, 2004 Report Posted October 25, 2004 I heard the poem - The Frost is on the Pumpkin - last week on NPR. It was the first time I had ever heard it completely. Kinda cool. Kurt's photo looks like a post card from Michigan.
kurt Posted October 25, 2004 Report Posted October 25, 2004 Hey Les; it is in Michigan. Up by Saugatuck. Took it this weekend. Sorry I missed you; I got your card stuck in my window @ the CLD. I would have enjoyed putting a face on that name.
kurt Posted October 26, 2004 Report Posted October 26, 2004 BTW, no one stated if was Hoar frost or Rime frost; there is a difference, you know.
Jim Baird Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Frost is still yet to fall on our pumpkins. Even so, colors are changing, as on witchazel in pic. Download Attachment: Witch hazel.jpg 205.84 KB
chrisprickett Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Playing golf tomorrow, gonna be in the low 80's. Neener, neener, neener.
Jim Morrison Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 OK, I know Kurt knows better. And since Chris used to visit his brother in my very 'hood, he ought to know better, but for those of you who don't: (From an old donut shop commercial) When the frost is on the punkin' That's the time for Dinky Dunkin' And on a professional note: Got on my first frost-coated roof of the year this AM. Be careful out there friends...
Paul MacLean Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 Low temperatures finally got down to the 50's this week. We might see a frost by December...then maybe not. Green is my color of choice for fall foliage.[:-propell
