fqp25 Posted February 7, 2010 Report Posted February 7, 2010 Uh, when did Sewer pipe become approved for dryer vents??? At least they didn't use screws... Click to Enlarge 42.39 KB Click to Enlarge 52.57 KB
Phillip Posted February 7, 2010 Report Posted February 7, 2010 You will have to check with the AHJ. They can allow this. I know they allow it where the vent is run in/under the slab foundation but not in other areas of the house like out of the wall or the roof. It would not be allowed like it is run in your photos in my area, but I have seen it done.
Chad Fabry Posted February 7, 2010 Report Posted February 7, 2010 They can't allow that; the vent must be smooth walled metal.
John Dirks Jr Posted February 8, 2010 Report Posted February 8, 2010 It's not metal but I bet it flows better than the accordion style crap one usually sees.
plummen Posted February 8, 2010 Report Posted February 8, 2010 picture wont post! [:-weepn] had a nice shot of piece of 4" pvc that started breaking down inside and gluing lint inside of self
hausdok Posted February 8, 2010 Report Posted February 8, 2010 Rename the photo and make sure that the name of the picture file doesn't have any spaces or special symbols in it and it will post. OT - OF!!! M.
