Bill Kibbel Posted January 1, 2010 Report Posted January 1, 2010 I'm wondering why they interviewed that specific roofing firm. They're the outfit that just 2 days prior, took a torch to an historic chapel built in 1897, causing $1 million in damage.

Jim Katen Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 Did you notice how many other class action lawsuits this company has going? Looks like if it is lucrative enough, these folks will take it on. Well sure, why not? The irony is that the actual victims rarely get enough money to make any difference to their plight. The individual settlements are often just token payments. But the attorneys see a percentage of the aggregate, which is unfailingly in the millions. It's a great scam. - Jim Katen, Oregon
charlieb Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 Has anyone ever seen "A civil action" ? It gives a Hollywood view but there are some expenses to these actions. As the film shows and Jim said, the attys are after the lions share of the settlement. Millionaires in the making.
Scottpat Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 Remember the "Tobacco" lawsuits back in the 90's? The attorneys involved (right at 70 of them) are all now multi-millionaires with a few billionaires in the mix. The former AG of MS, was the brainchild. The kicker is that he was still if office as the AG, but his former firm was the lead firm for the lawsuits. He is now back in private practice and is now one of those multi-millionaires.
Terence McCann Posted January 7, 2010 Report Posted January 7, 2010 Hallmark Shangle, Independence Shangle, Horizon Shangle What in the hell is a "Shangle"?
Bain Posted January 7, 2010 Report Posted January 7, 2010 Hallmark Shangle, Independence Shangle, Horizon Shangle What in the hell is a "Shangle"? 'At's what we call 'em down hyar in Kentucky, son. You got sumpin' a say about it? Or you just clankin' them jaws of your'n . . . ?
