Furnace Age

I was wondering if anyone has any experience with a Clare Brothers (Canadian) systems. I can't find the age of this one.

Model # HEHF 80-8

Code # 2142-45

Serial # C0054901

I know that at some point Carrier bought this company out of backruptcy and am wondering if the first 3 digits of the Serial # is the Carrier code which would be March of 2000.

Any info at all would be a great help.

Preston's Guide lists Clare HEHF-80B (B, not gas furnaces from 1991 through 1996. An estimate of 15 years seems reasonable unless you have info to the contrary.
