I bet it hurts when the rip-cord pull is a little off and the surfer isn't hurled high enough to clear the pier. I wonder how many trials one needs before getting it right?

I'm still on 6.something and works fine for me. I have a problem with "upgrades" that tend to have negative impacts on performance.

yeah, that one has been making the rounds. Insanely stupid; folks have been killed trying that trick.

Here's a simple shot from my recent vacation @ OBX. Note the dot in the middle about 20' off the water; it's a kiter friend.

I haven't tried any air yet; I pretty much keep it on the water.
