Rapid Sketch

Rapid Sketch is a autocad-lite program that allows one to draw out a footprint of a home/structure. I've used it on numerous occasions to give a good detailed and professional drawing when referring to a problem/defect. Folks are always impressed when the see the sketch and I feel that it gives HLIS that something extra that helps us standout from the competition.

I too will include sketches with reports. I had been using Apex, but just bought a copy of DaVinci by A La Mode. It's a nice touch.

That's pretty cool for a hundred and fifty bucks. How long does it take you to prepare a sketch for a 2,500 sq. ft. house?

Can you insert numbers in given areas of the sketch to correspond with Summary item numbers?

We subscribe to a satellite image service and I use those images for the same purpose.

Yeah, right. I bought two of 'em and used 'em for quite awhile, but my newer computers won't accept their 5.25 floppies. What a rip.

Takes no time at all to knock out a quick sketch and you can insert notes inside the drawing.

I use 3D in which Rapid Sketch is akin to an addon module & this allows the sketch to be part of the written report.

RS has a free trial so you can play around with it to see if it's something you'd like or not.
