Wes Posted September 13, 2004 Report Posted September 13, 2004 I filled my new pool with water a few days before Labor Day. The pool has an inside dimension of 18 ft X 40 ft. The contiguous bond beam is 24 inch wide. I noticed a few seemingly superficial cracks on the coping. However, one of the cracks seems a bit more concerning. Not surprinsgly this crack is almost exactly mid-length of the pool. The crack goes all the way through the beam and is now evident in the plaster extending 6 to 8 inches below the WL (and may be still growing). There are corresponding and apparently superficial cracks on the opposite side. My pool builder seems to be a responsible one and says he will fix the situation. What would y'all say would be the fair and proper remedy?
