blazenut Posted October 12, 2009 Report Posted October 12, 2009 Does anyone have any idea why someone would put magnetic strips with duct tape on gas lines? I found this in two locations. Click to Enlarge 39.52 KB
Richard Moore Posted October 12, 2009 Report Posted October 12, 2009 I've never seen it but I would assume it's there to collect any iron scraps/filings/etc that were left in the piping and have clogged burners or valves in the past. Did you have sediment traps (dirt legs) at the appliances?
blazenut Posted October 12, 2009 Author Report Posted October 12, 2009 I would have never thought of that, there were dirt legs, but maybe this suggests that they may have had problems in the past. Thanks.

Did you have sediment traps (dirt legs) at the appliances? It's like Iron Man's magnetic chest plate!
MTL_Inspet_Man Posted October 13, 2009 Report Posted October 13, 2009 Its like those magnets they sell for your car's fuel line. More Mileage... MPG....lol
