CheckItOut Posted July 10, 2009 Report Posted July 10, 2009 Some builders here are starting to install a weep screed in the cultured stone (wood framed wall behind stone). This house (new const) has one but they buried it in mortar. Better than nothing at all. Click to Enlarge 57.79 KB
randynavarro Posted July 10, 2009 Report Posted July 10, 2009 I really can't see what that is for sure. Is it actually a screed or an attempt at some sort of control / expansion joint?

RobC Posted July 10, 2009 Report Posted July 10, 2009 What you are looking at is a garden variety drip flashing.
Rocon Posted July 10, 2009 Report Posted July 10, 2009 What you are looking at is a garden variety drip flashing. Where in your garden do you have drip flashings?
StevenT Posted July 11, 2009 Report Posted July 11, 2009 There should be a flashing to allow water to drain. If the irregular shape is a problem, cut or arrange the stone to create the straight line.
