hausdok Posted July 8, 2009 Report Posted July 8, 2009 The ASHI-NE annual conference will be held September 14th and 15th at the Lantana in Randolph, Massachusetts. The chapter is now accepting registrations. During the morning of Monday, September 14th, Attorney Jonathan Braverman of Baker, Braverman & Barbadoro, P.C. will present an in-depth look at legal issues of relevance to home inspection professionals and Steve Gladstone of Stonehollow, Inc. Fine Home Inspections, a former ASHI National President, will address old home issues. The Monday afternoon session will begin with a "Trial by Peers" lead by Donald Lovering of Advantage Home Inspection. This will be a mock trial to demonstrate how inspectors can better defend themselves when their inspections or reports are called into question. Next, Bill Sutton of Bay Colony Home Inspections Consultants, Inc. will offer a program on Ethics for the home inspection professional. On Tuesday, September 15th, Kenny Hart will conduct an intensive seminar on all aspects of inspecting plumbing and reporting on issues found during a home inspection. Hart is a second-generation Master Plumber and Mechanical Contractor with more than 30 years of experience and is also past chair of the ASHI Technical Committee. Tedd Benson of Bensonwood Homes will then offer a special glimpse into the "Weston House Project" which a pre-fabricated timberframe home featured in Fall 2008 on This Old House. Day two wraps up with a presentation by Brad Keyes of Keyes North Atlantic on high efficiency boilers and furnaces.
