Bain Posted June 19, 2009 Report Posted June 19, 2009 I have no idea what its purpose is. It was on the second level of a house that contained a standard gas furnace connected to a typical thermostat on the main level. There were just wire connections in the junction box below. Richard Moore Posted June 19, 2009 Report Posted June 19, 2009 If it was inside a room, I'd suspect it used to control a heater for some type of exotic pets...or a grow operation. If it's in the upper hallway, I don't have a clue. Any power to the wiring?

The house has apparenty been a rental for a long while, though. So maybe it was for some sort of indoor garden. I suppose I'm naive, but I never find myself wondering about that sort of thing when I'm in a house.
Bill Kibbel Posted June 19, 2009 Report Posted June 19, 2009 It's a line voltage control thermostat for heating and ventilating systems in farm buildings.
Erby Posted June 19, 2009 Report Posted June 19, 2009 Made in U.K. Someone brought that puppy a long way from home..
