hausdok Posted June 15, 2009 Report Posted June 15, 2009 A Home Inspector's Response by Andrew Christie, Civil Engineering Technologist & Registered Home Inspector In October of 2006 The Globe and Mail published an article by Mike Holmes in which he blatantly slammed home inspectors and real estate sales reps, and exhibited a shocking lack of knowledge relating to old houses and the home inspection industry. I questioned Darcy McGovern, the Globeââ¬â¢s real estate editor at the time, as to why he would publish something that includes sweeping generalization and multiple inaccuracies. Mr. McGovern told me, ââ¬ÅI had a really bad home inspection experience.ââ¬

Thank you for the clarification, makes sense, I wondered if that was what had happened and looked in both "active" and "recent", but the thread does not show up in either..
