Jim Katen Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 Please Help Brock Elite Air Furnace - Oil fired with Beckett burner Serial No: 287294 Please can someone help me decode age of furnace? thx P.s. - Home built in 1962 - appears to be changed since. That's a modern furnace. I imagine it's less than 10 years old. Do you have a picture of the data tag? - Jim Katen, Oregon
MTL_Inspet_Man Posted May 15, 2009 Author Report Posted May 15, 2009 Couldn't get to it hidden behind near the wall Could not find anything in the pouch with the documentation either yep pretty recent - present owner in house since 2005 was there already can't figure if 19940 or 1987? - best guess so far
Bill Kibbel Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 There's a date printed on the primary control (the gray plastic box on the oil burner). There's usually a date on the data tag on the motor of the burner too. Compare those numbers to the serial number to confirm the date of manufacture.
Jim Katen Posted May 16, 2009 Report Posted May 16, 2009 model MBP-1 if it helps That model is still sold today: http://www.francisfuels.com/html/brock_furnaces.htm My guess is 2005 or shortly before. I really doubt that it's older than 2000. - Jim Katen, Oregon
