Robert E Lee Posted July 23, 2004 Report Posted July 23, 2004 The attached photo is of an insulated heating/cooling duct running across the ceiling of the attached garage (home was built prior to firecode sheetrock requirement). I have always suggested that white styrofoam insulation be covered due to possible toxic fumes should it become flammable. Does the same concern apply to this pink material? DonTx Posted July 24, 2004 Report Posted July 24, 2004 Same stuff, different food coloring. Go to www.owenscorning.com and take a look at it for yourself. I don't think this is designed for ductwork anyhow. Forget about when the fire code became law. We all know there should be a garage/home seperation. Donald
