randynavarro Posted April 11, 2009 Report Posted April 11, 2009 Does anyone have a good policy that covers tools and equipment in your vehicle? My auto policy doesn't cover as I don't have commercial coverage. E & O carrier doesn't cover 'cuz, . . . .well, they just do E & O.
Richard Moore Posted April 11, 2009 Report Posted April 11, 2009 OREP has GL that supposedly covers stolen tools etc. It says it starts at $150, but I don't know what the actual figure would be. I believe you can get it even if you have E&O elsewhere. see.. http://www.orep.org/gl-flyer.pdf
Tom Raymond Posted April 12, 2009 Report Posted April 12, 2009 My GL includes $1000 in tool coverage, check yours before you buy another one. Tom
Mark P Posted April 12, 2009 Report Posted April 12, 2009 My GL includes $1000 in tool coverage, check yours before you buy another one. Tom Mine too, but with a $500 deductable. So really not very good.
Tom Raymond Posted April 13, 2009 Report Posted April 13, 2009 I'll have to check my deductable, I just got a renewal amendment and adjustment letter that includes lots of changes so I don't know my deductables off hand. I have had my tools stolen twice and an employee's tools once so I understand the desire for coverage, but depending on what you carry it my be cheaper to just eat the difference. New tools are an operating expense anyhow. Tom
