GENERAL Home Inspections

Exactly so. At the time this site was founded there were very few reliable public sources of information, other than the private message boards of the associations, where private home inspectors could share information and learn together.

Many that hang out here do have code certifications and/or are employed as building inspectors but the overwhelming majority are private inspectors.

Cory,

I hang out here quite often and I'm a retired buggy whip salesman.

Actually I regard myself as a home inspector primarily and a building consultant. I seldom think of myself as a building inspector. Home inspector means I am mostly looking at a building configured to be occupied as a shelter by humans and watch TV.

good question!
