Brandon Whitmore Posted January 17, 2009 Report Posted January 17, 2009 Bonus question: Would a 2-year old home typically have a separate warranty for the roofing? My guess: if installed improperly to begin with, everything has a warranty when it comes to a lawsuit. (unless the builder and roofer are out of business).
Eric B Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 I get "nervous" about caulk, sealant, mastic or goop on a roof. It's a shortcut in my view. Such installations are maintenance items. I don't make big issues out of it but I do note it in the reports. As for the photo in the thread, I'd be writing for a need to correct. If I can't see what I should normally see, I'm not signing off on it.
