StevenT Posted December 8, 2008 Report Posted December 8, 2008 Griz, There are a few things that could cause problems igniting your fireplace. Be smart and get someone that knows what they are doing to look at it. Whatever it costs, which probably won't much, will be well worth it if you can avoid a fire or an explosion. Somtimes it's cheaper to go first class, get it done right the first time.
Les Posted December 9, 2008 Report Posted December 9, 2008 Griz, Steven is right about having a tradesperson look at it. Does not sound like a costly repair, likely clean and adjust. Gas logs are usually very simple and can be very dangerous. Get it repaired and curl up with the cubs!
msteger Posted December 9, 2008 Report Posted December 9, 2008 Ditto to what the others say. Call a qualified fireplace technician in to service/repair the gas fireplace.
