Erby Posted November 13, 2008 Report Posted November 13, 2008 This was sent to me tonight. Brought back a lot of good old memories. Wanted to share it those who remember! (and those who don't can watch it too) http://oldfortyfives.com/thoseoldwesterns.htmOld Westerns I hope all y'all enjoy it as much as I did!
ghentjr Posted November 13, 2008 Report Posted November 13, 2008 Great memories. Saturday afternoon matinee. But they missed Audi Murphy, (one of the most highly decorated WWII survivers including the medal of honor) and the Cisco Kid (Duncan Renaldo) and his side kick. I also saw no reference to Quick Draw McGraw .
Bob White Posted November 13, 2008 Report Posted November 13, 2008 It ended with a tribute to Audie Murphy. Cisco was there too. Quickdraw and Boo Boo were missing, tho---
davidlord Posted November 13, 2008 Report Posted November 13, 2008 Nothing like the classics. Our kids watch the Boomerang channel and it has all the old classic cartoons on it (including Quickdraw and Boo Boo). I teach a 4 year old Sunday school class at my church and we were talking about something one day and I made a reference to Fred Flintstone and they looked at me all crazy. They didn't know who the Flintstones were. I told them their assignment the following week was to go home and tell their parents they wanted to watch an episode of the Flintstones.

Even better, watch the Flintstones' out-takes. The one where Wilma and Betty can't get a line out without cracking up is priceless. (How's that apostrophe...?)
ghentjr Posted November 14, 2008 Report Posted November 14, 2008 I never saw the tribute to murphy. Have to roll it again.
Erby Posted November 14, 2008 Author Report Posted November 14, 2008 ARAD - Age related attention deficit? Murphy's definitely there.
