My first try: 20.13 (ok, I was unclear on the concept.) Took me 5 trys to get down to 3.2 I found it very interesting that I made the same mistakes consistently. For instance: I always pegged the center of the circle a little lower than it should have been. In bisecting the angle, I tended to err towards the longer line. In making a parallelogram, I always made one that converged to correct for "perspective." In making a right angle, I erred toward making it closer to the outside border of the frame. Did anyone else notice this kind of uniformity of error? The fascinating part is that, even when I was aware of my error modes, it didn't help much. - Jim Katen, Oregon
Inspectorjoe Posted November 8, 2008 Report Posted November 8, 2008 I guess I should have learned what a Parallelogram is before I started. [:-ashamed
Bain Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 9.95 I did well on everything but the convergences and parallelograms. Both scores were close to 30. I'm thinking it would help to tilt my head and find a true horizontal before making an adjustment.
randynavarro Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 7.12 I let go of the mouse too soon on one and got a 50. Skewed the whole think. I'm trying again.
randynavarro Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 3.3 Did y'all check out the guy's website? There's some pretty cool stuff he's made.
Erby Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 Great with the convergence, suck with the parallelogram, always a bit high on the circles but the angles came easy when I tilted my head.
kurt Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 34.7 on the first try, 3.4 on the second. Was within 1 unit on the convergence and center of the circle.
fqp25 Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 It took me about 4 or 5 times to get to 3.4. I've been letting go of the mouse too soon.
Brandon Whitmore Posted November 9, 2008 Author Report Posted November 9, 2008 Did anyone else notice this kind of uniformity of error? The fascinating part is that, even when I was aware of my error modes, it didn't help much. The only uniformity of error I am noticing is that I never get close to the triangle center. It's screwing up my average. I'm gonna have to subcontract that one out from now on. The parallelogram, angle bisecting, and right angles are a breeze for me. Some of the other ones......not so much. Some of the high scores I am seeing are amazing........
Jeremy Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 I agree with the head tilt improving the score.
Les Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 Have not been able to break 10.0 yet, even with my glasses! I keep skewing everything to the far right. Circle and convergence are my strong items!
kurt Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 Yes, head tilt. Got a 2.7 after several tries.
Chad Fabry Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 After about a half hour I got a 2.7 I had three zero's, two on bisecting an angle and 1 finding the midpoint. I can't get below a 7 on the damn parallelogram. ( I also can't spell it w/o spell check)
Tom Raymond Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 3.8 first try, line centers were the hardest with circles a very close second. Tilting my head helped with some of the 90's but didn't do a damn thing for the circles[]. Fun site, definately going in my favorites. Tom
gtblum Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 3.3 third try. Lousey parallelograms eyes.
