Hey guys, today I found pex cold and hot supply line exposed to the weather ( outside of home ) I have heard that this is not allowed, but can't seem to find anything to back it up. Anyone know for sure?

PEX is not UV stable. If it's outside it needs to be wrapped.

Didn't we learn there is a PEX product that is UV stable? The stuff Watts used on the football field?

You may be right about that but I don't recall it. Still, if he'd gotten the name off of the product he could have looked up the manufacturer's instructions - just about all of them are on the web.

I did get the manufacturer name, just couldn't where I wrote it in the truck (note to self-clean truck asap!). You were right it isn't allowed to be exposed. Thanks!
