Brandon Whitmore Posted July 9, 2008 Report Posted July 9, 2008 Can someone point me to the IRC '06 requirement for filling in voids in concrete on stem walls. I swear it's in there somewhere, but can't find it.
Brandon Whitmore Posted July 9, 2008 Author Report Posted July 9, 2008 Crap, I have spent over an hour searching for this code requirement and can't find one. Also, with no replies yet, I am starting to wonder if I made this up. Has anyone else at least heard of this requirement? (talking about voids in the visible exterior portion of the stem wall).
Brandon Whitmore Posted July 10, 2008 Author Report Posted July 10, 2008 Aha-- that is where I saw it, it is listed in the "Residential Construction Performance Guidelines", not in the code book. Now I just have to see whether the builder is a member of the NAHB. Weird--- I just answered my own question. [:-slaphap
randynavarro Posted July 10, 2008 Report Posted July 10, 2008 Fine work Brandon. Talking to yourself and all.
Erby Posted July 10, 2008 Report Posted July 10, 2008 I've solved my own problem several times just by explaining it to someone else. Who knows why it happens, but I'll bet a lot of others have also.
