Have You Raised Your Prices?

Curious to know if any of you have raised your prices due to the increase in fuel prices? If you are not, why? I am thinking about going up $10 per category. Maybe I should go up more, I don't know!

Rather than raise my prices, I'm downgrading my car. I can carry a ladder and my tools in something smaller.... I think.

Hi,

I add $30 to the cost of any inspection that goes outside of a 20 mile radius, $60 if outside of a 40 mile radius, $90 if outside of a 60 mile radius, etc.

It covers the added fuel cost plus the added time getting to and from those jobs.

Some inspectors are lowering in my area to compete for work. I am neither raising or lowering my rates. I'm holding my ground.

I raised them in Jan and have had a good year until this month. April was a blockbuster month the best month I've ever had. May may turn out to be one of the the worst - I don't get it - bad karma I guess.

Being an insane, non-team playing, loose cannon and all, I have to travel to out of town jobs with regularity. I've had some doosies this year, up to 2 1/2 hours one way. I've been charging more for those outside the local area (though not really enough), but I've held steady on local rates. I may have to bump both soon.

My price was raised in the new year. However, I am making strides to drive a bit slower, coast to stops when possible, and avoid Jack Rabbit starts.

Today a litre of gas in my area is $1.27 for regular. At the marina up north a litre of regular is $1.66!

Raymond in my little corner of the woods they've been replacing the regular pumps with thimble and eyedropper dispensers.

I don't raise prices but once a year and adjust it for my increasing costs (fuel, medical insurance, etc).
