I wouldn't consider going without a brain bucket anyway. I bought one of those new flip-up types; looks like a full face, but you can release a catch and the whole chin bar/face shield flips up out of the way. I like it a lot. [:-skull]

Coming back from a neighboring town the other day, I looked over on the opposite side of the 4-lane and saw a big fat guy doing about 80 on bike. He was wearing a half-helmet, some sort of slipper/sandal thingys, gym shorts, and a wife-beater. I couldn't help thinking what would happen to him if he went down. You'd need a 55 gallon drum of hydrogen peroxide just to clean the road rash up. [:-bigmout
