Les Posted March 20, 2008 Report Posted March 20, 2008 Was sent out for an old farm house and barn this afternoon and this sure seemed like the right house number. Fortunately, the office had it wrong! Image Insert: 84.37 KB Image Insert: 96.65 KB
Chad Fabry Posted March 20, 2008 Report Posted March 20, 2008 That can all be saved. I hope someone takes the time.
John Dirks Jr Posted March 21, 2008 Report Posted March 21, 2008 "Character" I like it and I can almost smell it from here.

Fortunately, the office had it wrong! I don't see the reason for concern. I'd be happy to inspect it and hope the buyers have the resources to restore and preserve it. Now on this one, I didn't have the same receptivity. I should have known when they told me there was no driveway (or even a road within a half mile).
Les Posted March 21, 2008 Author Report Posted March 21, 2008 Most of you know I am like a crow - anything bright and shiny and I want to pick it up and take it home. I love the place, just not for a first time homeowner! I could have parked on the road and spent two hours reading the sign artwork! You bet it can, and should be, saved. Alas, it won't be.
ozofprev Posted March 21, 2008 Report Posted March 21, 2008 That lack of steerage when confronted with bright and shiny can make for a much more interesting life, Les. It's a good thing! I'm favorably impressed with how plumb the barn is. The ones around WNY are generally tilted by at least ten degrees. But they won't blow down!!!
