John Dirks Jr Posted March 4, 2008 Report Posted March 4, 2008 Which of the two medias do you think is more important in teaching a new inspector? They are both at hand to me and both quite extensive. I plan to read them both cover to cover but which one do you think I should begin with? 2006 IRC or JLC Field Guides?

Alternate one chapter at a time from each opus. - Jim Katen, Oregon
Brandon Chew Posted March 5, 2008 Report Posted March 5, 2008 I have them both. I would read the Field Guide first, then the IRC. The Field Guide has a lot of illustrations which will help you form a mental image when you read the (less illustrated) IRC. I like Jim's suggestion. Read a chapter in the Field Guide and then follow it by reading the corresponding chapter(s) in the IRC.
kurt Posted March 5, 2008 Report Posted March 5, 2008 Speaking of which.... I recently picked up a copy of Renee Fleming performing the Handel Arias, accompanied by the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment. Breathtaking. (I just had to share) And now, back to your regularly scheduled programming.........

John Dirks Jr Posted March 6, 2008 Author Report Posted March 6, 2008 I don't have time for the program.....got too much reading to do.
