Chad Fabry
[utube] [/utube] I used to wonder how they could cut small trees profitably. The video is about five minutes long and the operator cut down a lot of trees, stripped the limbs and sectioned them into 12 foot logs. Brian Connelly sent me the link. chrisprickett
I counted 8 trees cut, stripped and, stacked, in about 4 minutes. Very efficient!

I counted a bunch of unemployed loggers. I wonder why he doesn't have a log truck sitting there. At the speed he's moving, it'd be worthwhile to drop the logs right into the truck. - Jim Katen, Oregon
Bain
The makeshift roads are typically too narrow, too steep, or too muddy for a tandem truck to negotiate without getting stuck. A bulldozer or skidder is used to haul the logs to the loading area.
