I received an email from company today. Seems like they are inquiring to see if I want to contract work through them. I bet you all have heard of this. What do you know about this operation? Is this worth considering?

They hit up all new inspectors who are hungry for work. I would pass....it's just not worth it.

About the FIS, I did get a bit suspicious when they mentioned the insurance requirements and then suggested that a particular carrier be contacted to meet the requirements. A bell went off in my head as if they were trying to get me to purchase insurance from that particular carrier.

Anyone else have opinions on FIS or has any of you subbed through them?

You will find that Field Service work is very low paying, but if you have nothing else to do...... I know some guys that make good money doing FS work.

So what kind of things do they have you doing? It is different from traditional HI stuff that we usually talk about here isn't it?
