Brandon Chew Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 Sweet. They don't make 'em like that anymore...
Neal Lewis Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 Mike, I inspected that house about 7 years ago. There's quartersawn chestnut everywhere in the house. There are no lally columns in the basement. All poured concrete load bearing walls in the basement. It's not a great looking house, but the materials are most impressive. Needed a lot of work when I saw it. I'd love to see the period kitchen. It was a seventies type kitchen when I saw it, with holes in the ceiling. One of the few houses that he built for a friend or relative. The Stickley compound/museum is about 5 miles from there.
