Neal Lewis
Does anyone know what the minimum distance is above grade for an oil tank vent pipe? I'm in the Northeast. Thanks
Chad Fabry
I'm not sure that there is a requirement. Above the highest anticipated snow line seems appropriate.

Darren
Neal; M2203.5 Vent termination. Vent piping shall terminate outside of buildings at a point not less that 2 feet, measured vertically or horizontally, from any building opening. Outer ends of vent pipe shall terminate in a weather-proof cap or fitting having an unobstructed area at least equal to the cross-sectional area of the vent pipe and shall be located sufficiently above ground to avoid being obstructed by snow & ice. Send me your fax # & I'll fax you the page. Darren
