Neal Lewis Posted September 17, 2007 Report Posted September 17, 2007 A four inch long piece of the flue baffle thingy broke off and landed on the gas burner. I removed the piece of metal. Any effect, other than maybe a little less efficient? It's a 14 year old water heater, anyway.
hausdok Posted September 17, 2007 Report Posted September 17, 2007 Time to replace it. If thats corroded completely through what do you suppose the condition of the sides of that center tube is? OT - OF!!! M.
fqp25 Posted September 17, 2007 Report Posted September 17, 2007 I would think if "thingys" are breaking off, it would be time to replace.
hausdok Posted September 17, 2007 Report Posted September 17, 2007 I've asked, Frank, believe me, but the doc says that all he can do is recommend an implant. [:-eyebrow OT - OF!!! M.
