klhawes Posted August 20, 2007 Report Posted August 20, 2007 My client has taken possession of her Condo and has phoned me to advise that she has noted a few very small (hard to see) vertical hair line cracks in her fiberglass bathtub, approximately halfway up. I have never run across this before. Can anyone advise how serious this may be, or any possible repairs procedure that is possible? Any response is appreciated.
ozofprev Posted August 20, 2007 Report Posted August 20, 2007 Quite common. A representative of the manufacturer normally comes out to repair the cracks. It's just not practical to tear out walls as required to haul in a new one-piece f.g. shower. A good technician can repair the cracks to 'like new' condition. I normally find a texture difference at the repair site. I can feel that with my hand.
klhawes Posted August 24, 2007 Author Report Posted August 24, 2007 Gary, thanks very much for your insight.
