Phoenix1 Posted August 8, 2007 Report Posted August 8, 2007 Im looking for work in NJ with a HI company. Any leads would be greatly appreciated.. Thanx
chicago Posted August 8, 2007 Report Posted August 8, 2007 LOL..Most of us are happy to find our own work. Rich I will answer you by saying if you wish to find work you should contact your local association for help on that as this is a great place to learn but not really much of a help wanted center. Go to the web and call a few of the larger outfits in your area. Keep learning. This is not the overnight success you dreamed of.
Phoenix1 Posted August 8, 2007 Author Report Posted August 8, 2007 Thanx for the advice...BTW nobody said anything about overnight success. I know it takes alot of work to make it happen....
hausdok Posted August 8, 2007 Report Posted August 8, 2007 Hi, Have you checked to see whether USInspect or InspectTech are hiring in that area? OT - OF!!! M.
Phoenix1 Posted August 8, 2007 Author Report Posted August 8, 2007 Thanx a bunch..Ill check those two out
John Dirks Jr Posted August 9, 2007 Report Posted August 9, 2007 NJ requires licensing. Have you checked into that yet? Even if you work for another company I think you will still need to be licensed to do inspections by yourself.
Steven Hockstein Posted August 9, 2007 Report Posted August 9, 2007 www.NJALPHI.com That is the web address for The New Jersey Association of Licensed Professional Home Inspectors. You can get a list of members and info about our mission. This is a NOT FOR PROFIT organization run but VOLUNTEERS to help Home Inspectors in NJ. We have monthly meetings in Garwood, NJ. There are well over 300 members. It is a great place to rub elbows, get some education credits, and let people know that you are looking for a job. Not to be negative but your timing is not great. The market is much slower this year and companies are cutting back.
Phoenix1 Posted August 9, 2007 Author Report Posted August 9, 2007 thanx for the info guys and yes I am licensed in NJ. Your right Steve. its very slow around these parts lately. Thanx for the ALPHI link. ill definitely check them out next meeting
