Basement doors

What do you call the angled doors that cover the exterior stairs down to a walk-out basement? I can only come up with "bulkhead doors," but I'm not satisfied with that.

I've always just used the brand name, "Bilco". Seems to work.

Or, exterior bsmt. entrance hatch.

Growing up in Connecticut, we called it a hatchway.

You were actually the most accurate in your initial post. The correct name is "bulkhead enclosure".

I need to go Hoover my carpet with the sweeper now.
