Old natural gas room furnace

Hello guys and gals.

In my office and apartments in this old 1900 building, we have these heating units.

Called "Super Flame", these 50+ year old gas eaters do get super hot but are not real efficient.

My question to the experts: Is there a better/updated heating unit that you have seen and would recommend? I have 4 in the building and would love to update them for economical and safety reasons.

I've seen a lot of their products over the past decade, particularly the Forceaire furnaces, and all were little workhorses - even the really old ones.

Just the product I was looking for! A vented hearth furnace. I bet it will pay for itself in the first year with the gas savings. Thanks for the link hausdok!
