kurt
One thing I can guarantee. If you are a truly competent tradesman, responsible, and able to deliver what you promise, there is more work than you can imagine. Understand another thing. Work will not fall in your lap just because you are in America. It still takes a lot of effort to develop the relationships necessary to make it. hausdok
Hi Dennis, They're still relatively rare in this country and they are referred to as "double envelope" facades. The new Seattle Justice Center was built with that kind of envelope. Here is a google search string using "commercial cladding" http://gaia.lbl.gov/hpbf/design_g2.htm You will find a url on the second page where you can find that building. It begins with "LBNL - High Performance Commercial Building Facades". With a little research, you can probably find out the name of the sub-contractor that applied that facade and then contact them to see if they are looking for any new tradesmen. I've met both Russian and Ukrainian Siding and E.I.F.S. applicators here. You also might try and find out if there are any Russian community organizations here in the Seattle area or elsewhere in the U.S. that can help you with your search. ONE TEAM - ONE FIGHT!!! Les
Dennis, Is that an apartment building in the background of the furniture store? Do people own the apartments? Are the balcony areas constructed of metal? The double facade method is rare in the midwest, as far as I know. thanks!
tbird
I have seen work done around here (Arizona) like that by sign companies. They fix up many old looking buildings to look new and modern. Maybe you should look at sign and renovation type companies. Have a good one! Brad Manor
Denis, Prices on building materials vary from region to region, and they also tend to fluctuate quite a bit (at least from what I gather here in my area). ps: thanks for the pictures, I spent a little time this summer in Romania (my wife is Romanian), looking at both new construction techniques as well as existing buildings. Your photos brought back lots of great memories!

Les
Dennis, Thanks for the info re: balconies! Happy New Year to you and yours! I have been doing a little surfing to learn more about your city and find the info really interesting. It seems your city is often compared with our Chicago. Maybe that is why there is a large Russian population in Chicago. How are houses bought and sold in Omsk? and do you have government inspectors or private individuals? Thanks
RDA-FOX
Hi Les! That falls into duties of the government inspectors or private individuals? AHIS Thanks
