hausdok Posted December 11, 2006 Report Posted December 11, 2006 Hi, Yeah, go back and search the mid to late July threads in the HVAC forum and you'll find a thread there about sizing tonnage and then we posted information there about decoding serial numbers. OT - OF!!! M.
Mark P Posted December 11, 2006 Report Posted December 11, 2006 It is not listed in the Carrier Blue Book database, which has proven reliable in the my experience.
Terence McCann Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 From that thread: Chrysler Air Temp: Age is shown by the first digit of the serial number and corresponds to the last number of the year of manufacturer. Example 0C893745 = 1970. 1 = 1971, 2 = 1972, etc. Use common sense and visual observation to distinguish decades from one another. I don't believe that Chrysler is still in production (or has been for quite some time).
