excalibur Posted November 7, 2006 Report Posted November 7, 2006 Ok guys i need some help here, in Montréal Quebec, i did an inspection on a roofing section of a condo 2006 contruction year. And this is the type of roof installation a saw any idea if this situation is proper ? First we have a asphalted roof type with gravel and second we have roof membrane ? I've detected that this roof has a improper drainage slope and many other problems in and out of this building. Not so many mistakes for a French guy ! kurt Posted November 7, 2006 Report Posted November 7, 2006 What's the membrane? Is it modified bitumen? There are few roofing materials that are approved for ponding; very few. If it's modified, mfg's. will not guarantee it in ponding conditions.
Scottpat Posted November 7, 2006 Report Posted November 7, 2006 Looks almost like rolled roofing material.
excalibur Posted November 7, 2006 Author Report Posted November 7, 2006 Actually it is a Rolled roofing material , but this building has so many problems that i would not be suprise that this roof was made by an amateur .
Mike Lamb Posted November 7, 2006 Report Posted November 7, 2006 I don't see any seams. This should give you a good clue as to what the roof material is. Maybe it's just me, but I'd make sure you put a board or a piece of plywood under you ladder legs next time.
