Pennsylvania home inspection law

Recommended Posts

I joined Ashi

I am preparing to take the exam

I found an E&O provider

I found nothing on the Ashi website saying anything about performing side by side inspections with an experienced HI

Does anyone know if this is required in Pennsylvania since PA law states only that you must be affiliated with one of the Ashi type of organizations that conducts continuing education.

Thanks

Rick

ASHI, has a great Mentor Program and some really good inspectors in your area. Re-Check the ASHI site and you will find it. Or call Anthony Snyder at HQ or wait for Scott P to get back from Chicago this week-end, I am sure he will answer you.

"I found nothing on the Ashi website saying anything about performing side by side inspections with an experienced HI".

I found something rather quickly:

"Does anyone know if this is required in Pennsylvania since PA law states only that you must be affiliated with one of the Ashi type of organizations that conducts continuing education".

To meet Pennsylvania compliance, you must belong to a national HI organization that, among many other things, requires 100 inspections for full membership. ASHI will give you a document when you have attained 100 inspections stating that you are considered a member by PA's definition.
