Bain
So . . . I poke my noggin into the fireplace firebox of a less-than-one-year-old house this morning, and can see both walls of the flue pipe. I reach up and the bloody thing can be moved by hand. I said it wasn't safe to use and that it required repairs, so no big deal. But . . . it occurred to me that I've never actually watched anyone connect a flue pipe to a pre-fab fireplace. Does the pipe twist-and-lock like a regular b-vent? Or is it attached with screws or something similar?
