hausdok Posted August 30, 2006 Report Posted August 30, 2006 The real estate market is still hot in some parts of the US and Canada and frenzied competition between buyers has resulted in some inspectors seeing a substantial drop in business. will5443 Posted August 31, 2006 Report Posted August 31, 2006 We had that problem here in Florida for a while. It really did not hurt us too bad. What did happen was that most of the buyers still had their inspections, but they did not read them. There were bidding wars and everyone just wanted to close. Now with the downturn in the market, these same buyers are call with every little thing they find in the house and want to know why we didnt report it. Most of the time the deficiency is listed in the report. They didnt read the report. In most cased, they dont even have a copy of their report.
n/a30 Posted September 6, 2006 Report Posted September 6, 2006 Market dynamics change with the boom / bust cycles. I think the RE bubble is leaking now in some areas of the country. It's becoming a buyer's market.
