Les Posted April 19, 2006 Report Posted April 19, 2006 This one was so nice, I thought I would share it. Don't look at it as an inspector, just appreciate the art work and think how many showers it has provided. Dated 1958, raised a family of four, then just the married couple and now a new family of three. Rob Amaral Posted April 19, 2006 Report Posted April 19, 2006 It has the '58 Chevy' look... copper? Must be.., right?
mgbinspect Posted April 19, 2006 Report Posted April 19, 2006 About 5 years ago I saw a Westinghouse 50's vintage ELECTRIC water heater still kicking. I was amazed and it looked great too. (Both obviously built prior to the 8 - 14 and 15 - 20 year life span conspiracy I suppose.)
mwg27 Posted April 20, 2006 Report Posted April 20, 2006 One can only hope the installation of it's replacement is as carefully completed as the original seems to be.
Jim Baird Posted April 20, 2006 Report Posted April 20, 2006 I especially like the careful paint job on the pipes.
StevenT Posted April 20, 2006 Report Posted April 20, 2006 I have an old washing maching, same era... very sexy, got no use for it, but can't let it go. I was gonna put it on the roof of my laundromat before I sold it.
Brandon Chew Posted April 21, 2006 Report Posted April 21, 2006 That's a beauty. When it comes time to replace it, they should sell it on E-bay. I'll bet someone would pay a pretty penny for it.
