Mike Lamb Posted May 9, 2022 Report Posted May 9, 2022 There were two of these odd raised floor drains installed in a 1950s basement home. I assume water would run under the flange? And I suspect some kind of anti-flood. Anybody?
Bill Kibbel Posted May 9, 2022 Report Posted May 9, 2022 That's a bell trap drain. The top of the flange should be flush with the floor surface. Maybe they drilled holes below the flange? Bell traps shouldn't be installed if it drains into a sanitary sewer.
