AC Refrigerant Leak?

It is too cold to run AC around here.  Would the corrosion at the suction line connection at the furnace air handler be indicative of a refrigerant leak?

Probably not, but the corrosion could cause a leak.

Corrosion doesn't indicate a leak but it does indicate the wrong fitting.  That fitting is the wrong one.  If there's no sight of any oil, I'd not write it.  If there is oil, there's likely a leak.

Condensation on the sold suction line is causing the steel flare nut to rust, wouldn't happen if it were brass.
