Has anyone experienced a foul smell from your kitchen sink?

Hi friends,
It has been many days, I'm noticing a foul smell coming from our kitchen sink. Now we can't even stay in the kitchen due to the smelly sink.
I would like to get rid of it as soon as possible. I've heard that installing SVP(soil vent pipe) would be a better option to get rid of foul smell. So, I'm looking forward to hire a (LINK REMOVED). Has anyone experienced a foul smell from your kitchen sink? How did you get rid of it?

Yes, it was a Mackrel and I put it into the trash.
