Mark Trinkley Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 I have seen mention of this in another forum, now am trying to get more immediate feedback from those of you who may have read/purchased a particular book. "How To Make Money In The Home Inspection Business" By: Walt Stoeppelwerth and Larry Vickers I know Mike has mentioned this publication, but no feedback was apparent. In other words, is this pub worth the 70 or so bucks they command? Any and all feedback would be appreciated. And as any good businessman knows, we hate to toss money out the window.
carle3 Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 I don't know about the book you are looking ar but I have been working through "Building Your Home Inspection Buisness" by Carson Dunlop and would highly recommend it to any start up in the Home Inspection Buisnees. It is more expensive than what you are looking at but worth it.
kurt Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 Walt Stoeppleworth was a mentor of mine in the 70's, but he's retired, HomeTech was sold to USInspect, & the entire shebang is different now. I wouldn't waste the money. The "secret" of making money in the HI biz is simple: "Don't screw up the jobs."
hausdok Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 I read the book. It had all of the same little marketing tricks that I'd been taught at the franchise. Wanna know a secret? If you read through enough of the archives here you'll find out every single one of those secrets without spending a dime. OT - OF!!! M.
